Visit Google to View the New Features in Android 13

Android 13 was unveiled by Google during the yearly Google I/O developer conference. The internet behemoth has also revealed a list of devices that can run the most recent beta version of Android.

Since April 24, 2022, Android 13's public beta version has been accessible. The number of smartphone makers that can test out this public beta version of Android 13 is expanding, though, as a result of Google I/O.

A number of handsets from Xiaomi, Oppo, Asus, OnePlus, Realme, and Vivo may now use the most recent version of Android, though it is still in the beta stage. This is in addition to Pixel smartphones.

When Android 13 was first released, Google claimed it included a lot of improvements, including the display. The corporation is worried about, among other things, how Android 13 has improved privacy.

Material You is still maintained in terms of appearance, but there are now more personalization options available. See the following details to learn more about the features that will be included in the most recent Android version:

Settings for Privacy and Security

Google now lets users choose the language that will be used by specific apps on Android 13. Users can, for instance, use Indonesian in banking applications while using English in chat programs.

Additionally, users can restrict the application while accessing images or videos in the gallery by using the Photo Picker feature. In other words, users can select the gallery that best matches their needs rather than the application having to access the entire gallery.

The clipboard history on the smartphone will also be automatically deleted by this most recent version of Android after a predetermined amount of time. A settings page with information on device security and privacy will also be provided by Google.

Enhanced Personalization

Since Android 12, Google has adopted your design, and the design is continuing to be used in Android 13. But in the most recent version, customization can be done more thoroughly.

Theme warnings were previously only problematic with bawah system applications. There is now a button in the Pengaturan that enables users to activate the theme icon that was placed for all open applications.

Google additionally includes Material You's design in Media Control. When someone uses music, the music player's display will incorporate the album's sample's warnings.

Better Support for Big Screen

Android 13 will enhance user experience for larger screen Android devices, such as tablets and foldable smartphones, in addition to smartphones. This is an extension of Android 12L, which debuted in March 2022.

As a result, Android 13 will optimize more than 20 Google apps for use on large screen devices, including support for the split screen functionality in YouTube Music, Google Maps, and Google Messages.

Greater Flexibility to Connect to Other Devices

According to Google, the most recent Android version will function better with other smart devices. Because Android 13 will feature quick pairing, it will be possible to connect to new devices including laptops, TVs, and speakers.

Additionally, users may swiftly switch between devices thanks to the copy-paste feature. Messages and other programs can be broadcast from a smartphone to a PC using this functionality.

Google Upgrades Android 13 to Include Earthquake Warnings

Additionally, Android 13 now has earthquake notifications as one of the new features.

The built-in earthquake early warning feature in Android 13 comprises two key components, according to Google's explanation.

When a smartphone senses an earthquake, it alerts Google's earthquake detection service and reports the earthquake's potential location.

To ascertain whether an earthquake actually occurred, the server will also aggregate several pieces of data. The technology will then establish the location and magnitude of the earthquake. The system will then either call or send an alert to an emergency contact.

Although this functionality is relatively new to Android 13, earthquake warnings are nothing new for Chinese smartphone owners.

No smartphone, including those made by Xiaomi, Huawei, or any other manufacturer, has an earthquake warning system built in.

When an earthquake hits, Xiaomi smartphones use an earthquake early warning system based on the idea that radio waves travel more quickly than seismic waves.

Users of Xiaomi smartphones in the impacted area will then receive an immediate early warning from the system, lasting between a few seconds and 10 seconds.

Xiaomi and Huawei are on earthquake alert

Users will have enough time to avert a more serious catastrophe and lessen the number of casualties.

Huawei just started using the earthquake warning system in 2020, even though Xiaomi devices started using it in 2019.

A pop-up window is used by Xiaomi's earthquake alarm feature to notify users of an alert. When a network detects an upcoming earthquake, which can result in violent shaking, it notifies users.

The system will also be able to pinpoint the seismic wave's origin, the earthquake's epicenter, and its magnitude. Immediately following the end of the earthquake warning countdown, emergency support services will be offered.

EMUI 11, the operating system from Huawei, enables early seismic warning. The phone will trigger a pop-up window and turn off the alarm if there is an earthquake in the area.

Users will have time to rescue themselves early thanks to models like these. The device from Huawei also offers data on medical aid and emergency shelters.

Additionally, this will enable customers to receive prompt aid in the event of an earthquake. Unfortunately, Sichuan, China, still has access to this Huawei capability. As a result, the functions of the earthquake warning features on Huawei and Xiaomi are comparable.
