Bangkok - In April 2022, Google made the beta version of Android 13 or Android Tiramisu available. Since February, this operating system's (OS) development has been underway.
Google has made available Android 13 beta version 3 till the end of July. It is anticipated that Android 13 will be finished and prepared for an autumn 2022 release across the globe.
According to the Android developer page at developer.android.com, these are the five most recent innovations of Android 13 that are not present in Android 12:
1. Apply a different language to each application
Each application's language was previously established in accordance with the system language. Users may be able to change their preferred languages by using the language change function offered by some applications. However, Google made the capability available to everyone with Android 13, enabling users to apply a different language to each program. Google refers to this function as "Panlingual."
This function can be accessible by users who are actively participating in Android beta testing by heading to Settings > System > Language & input > Language. The program will display the chosen language as long as the string for that language is present. Users can also access the Panlingual functionality via the "App Info" panel, however it will eventually show up as a new "Application language" option in the "Language & input" settings.
2. Provides in-app management of all notifications for users.
The majority of Android apps installed on a device will offer notification or notification access. It is easy to irritate the user with numerous notifications if each app has access to notification rights. According to research done by Google, the majority of consumers dislike receiving spam notifications from apps.
Google updated the "Post Notifications" feature for notifications in Android 13. Users can decide whether or not to allow apps to deliver notifications to their devices while they are running using this feature. This implies that they have the same flexibility to control how notifications are handled as they have with other runtime rights like location and camera access.
Previously, Google included a feature called Notification Importance to Android version 12 that lets users control how annoying they find certain notifications. Google also unveiled Notification Channels, another feature associated with notifications. This feature enables an app's notifications to be handled differently from its other notifications in specific situations.
3. TARE: The Android Resource Economy
What if you were able to keep the battery on your Android phone and were compensated for it? but rather with "credits" that you can spend to access or use the app rather than actual cash? The Android Resource Economy, or TARE, is the feature that Google is currently working on.
TARE was first released last year, but according to reports, Android 13 Beta 1 is altering how TARE functions. Google has modified how Android Resource Credits are distributed to various applications, according to Mishaal Rahman of Esper, who was cited by XDA-Developer. At first, this feature used "maximum circulation," or credits that set a cap on the total number of credits that could be distributed across all applications.
But a "consumption restriction" mechanism has taken the role of the maximum circulation scheme. The total number of credits that can be used by all apps in a single discharge cycle is constrained by this mechanism. Simply put, a low battery level will result in less activity from your gadget.
4. Some interface modifications
The "Material You" design from Android 12 is retained in Android 13. Users can modify parts of the interface views using this design to suit their tastes. Some of them provide the ability to select a color scheme that goes with the wallpaper's main color. Google made several adjustments to this "Material You" with Android 13. Users can select themed program icons from one of them. With this function, the Android app icon's color can be adjusted to match the theme. Changes to icon colors on Android 12 only affect system apps.
Google made some visual improvements to Android 13 as well, including the addition of a new copy and paste tool. When material is added, this feature shows a typical display confirmation.
5. Bluetooth audio with low power
Android 13 now supports Bluetooth Low Energy, or LE Audio, thanks to Google. The next generation of wireless audio was developed to take the place of traditional Bluetooth. Users will be able to receive high-fidelity audio with the help of this technology, which protects battery life. Users can share and broadcast their audio to friends and family via Bluetooth LE Audio, or they can subscribe to public broadcasts for news, entertainment, or accessibility.
